Oh wait is it the end of the year already? Dear readers, no sebastien-han.fr is not dead (it actually got a bit more color since yesterday) and yes I know… I haven’t posted anything for more than a month I’ve been having a hard time keeping up with the pace I’ve committed too, sorry about that :-/.
This post is probably the last one of this year, so it’s time for a little retrospective.
Yes I know I have been a bit quiet recently, the reason? I was working on a new version of the website. More than four years after my migration from Wordpress to Octopress I decided to move away from Octopress. Today the site has a new design with a brand new landing page and not so new but very similar design for the blog. In this article, I will quickly explain some of the reasons.
I am a little bit late for this retrospective but holiday season was full of good things and I was really disconnected. I spent 2 amazing weeks in South Africa with my girlfriend, see post picture :). 2014 was really exciting, many things happened and just like last year it’s time to summarise the content of 2014.
It has been an existing year and for this I would like to highlight some of the things that happened. I don’t usually write too much about myself, I actually never did anything like this here. I prefer to keep personal things away from my blog. However, I don’t exclusively want to consider my website as a pure technical blog. So I thought this new year’s post might be a good start.
2012 was a really exciting year full of good stuff. But 2013 is already well on its way, so let’s not waste time and jump right in to whatever 2013 may bring!
First of all, I wish to everyone that reads this article a Happy New Year. I’ve been blogging for almost 2 years now, but I’ve been really active and focused since March 2012. My contract at Stone-IT / Smile will end in March. As of April I will be joining eNovance as a Cloud Engineer.
